MEET YOUR NEW LOCAL COUNCILLORS FOR CROUCH END, HORNSEY AND STROUD GREEN

In May 2006, Council elections took place across the borough the elect new councillors.  This is an opportunity to meet your new councillors, namely:

 

Crouch End: Councillors Ron Aitkin, Lyn Weber and David Winskill

            Hornsey: Councillors Robert Gorrie, Errol Reid and Monica Whyte

Stroud Green: Councillors Edmund Butcher, Laura Edge and

       Richard Wilson

MEET YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR CROUCH END, HORNSEY AND STROUD GREEN

An opportunity to review neighbourhood management initiatives undertaken in partnership with residents over the past year, and talk with members of the new team about future plans for Crouch End, Hornsey and Stroud Green.

MEET YOUR SAFER NEIGHBOURHOODS POLICING TEAMS FOR CROUCH END, HORNSEY AND STROUD GREEN

New Safer Neighbourhoods Teams have been patrolling around the area over the past year, linking up with residents groups to tackle local issues.  This is an opportunity to talk with them, and hear about opportunities to participate in their new ‘Ward Panels’.

IDENTIFY KEY PRIORITIES FOR YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD OVER THE COMING TWELVE MONTHS

Workshops comprising residents and councillors within each ward – Crouch End, Hornsey and Stroud Green – will discuss key priorities for their neighbourhoods over coming year.

EXECUTIVE QUESTION TIME

Cllr Isidoros Diakides – (Housing Executive Member) will answer residents’ questions on behalf of the Council Executive.

7.

AN INTRODUCTION TO HARINGEY'S SCRUTINY COMMITTEE

Haringey’s Scrutiny Committee exists to review and inform decision making within the Council.  Their work includes in depth reviews, addressing key policy issues.  Resident participation in scrutiny reviews is valuable.  Information will be given about how to get involved.

The next meeting of the Crouch End Area Assembly is scheduled for Monday 11th September at 7.30pm – (venue to be confirmed)
