Apologies were received from Councillor Demirci who was substituted for by Councillor Reid.

URGENT BUSINESS:

The Chair will consider the admission of any late items of urgent business.  (Late items will be considered under the agenda item where they appear. New items will be dealt with at item 10 below).

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

A member with a personal interest in a matter who attends a meeting of the Authority at which the matter is considered must disclose to that meeting the existence and nature of that interest at the commencement of that consideration, or when the interest becomes apparent.

 

A member with a personal interest in a matter also has a prejudicial interest in that matter if the interest is one which a member of the public with knowledge of the relevant facts would reasonably regard as so significant that it is likely to prejudice the member’s judgement of the public interest.

To consider an application to grant a Section 34 permit to allow four machines on the premises.

The Committee agreed to grant the permit.

To consider an application to provide a licensable activity in the form of the sale of alcohol, late night refreshment and, regulated entertainment.

 

Minutes:

RESOLVED

 

The Committee decided to reject the application in full having taken into account the representations from the objectors about noise nuisance. The Committee felt it was necessary to reject the applciation in order to promote the licensing objective of preventing public nuisance in a residential area.

This item was withdrawn from the Agenda as the application had been granted under delegated authority.

INFORMATIVE

 

The Committee took into account all of the representations from interested parties and informed them of their statutory right of review of the license. Full advice could be obtained from the Licensing Service about how to do this.
