Cllr Sheila Peacock attended the meeting as a nominated substitute for Cllr Buxton.

To agree the notes from the informal meeting OSC on 13^th June which was inquorate. N.B. The decisions that were due to be taken by the Committee on 13^th June, as set out in the agenda papers for that meeting, will need to be formally ratified by the OSC at this meeting.

RESOLVED - The Committee agreed the notes of the inquorate meeting of 13^th June 2024 as an accurate record and formally approved the provisional decisions as set out in the notes.

To agree the minutes of the meetings of 9th January 2024, 1st February 2024

and 11th March 2024, as a correct record.

RESOLVED – The minutes of the meetings held on 9^th January 2024, 1^st February 2024 and 11^th March 2024 were agreed as an accurate record.

To agree the Membership and Terms of reference for Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the four Scrutiny Panels.

RESOLVED – That the Committee:

a)    Established the following Scrutiny Panels for 2024/25:

-       Adults and Health;

-       Children and Young People;

-       Climate, Community Safety and Environment; and

-       Housing, Planning and Development.

b)    Approved the remits and membership for each Scrutiny Panel for 2024/25 as set out in the Appendix of the report.

c)    Appointed Cllr Matt White and Cllr Pippa Connor as the two Haringey representatives to the North Central London Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee for 2024/25.

To agree the overall approach for developing a work programme, and suggest agenda items for upcoming meetings.

RESOLVED – That the Committee:

a)    Agreed the overall approach outlined at Section 5 of the report, including developing a two-year work programme for Overview and Scrutiny for 2024-26, for approval at its meeting on 14^th October 2024.

b)    Gave comments on how they would like to proceed with a consultative ‘Scrutiny Café’ event to engage with the local community about the work programme, as well as conducting an online scrutiny survey.

c)    Agreed the provisional items for the Committee meetings on 23^rd July 2024 and 14^th October 2024.
