Additional Information

I have been passionate about politics ever since I was a child. I studied Politics at ‘A’ Level and achieved an A, I then went on to university and achieved a BA Hons 2.1 in Politics and Political History.

I have been a councillor since December 2000 and to be honest I have loved every minute of it, the lows and the highs. I spent my first 18 months on the backbenches building upon my academic studies by learning the machinery of local government with a specific onus on housing as almost all of the properties in White Hart Lane ward are residential. Since then I have had a year in the Executive and have now found my niche in scrutiny.

I use every opportunity to engage with the public and to help them in any way I can, from karaoke in local pubs to knocking on doors.

My reason for being in politics can be summed up in one memorable phrase, ‘what’s the point of being in politics if you can’t stand up for the people who can’t stand up for themselves’.
