The Haringey Irish Centre is a Community Centre catering to the public at large with a specific focus on the changing support needs of the most vulnerable and isolated in the Irish community. They promote Irish Culture and Heritage.
The Centre exerts a positive influence on the local community in Tottenham by encouraging social contact and good community relations and co-operation.
They provide services to the most vulnerable clients through the Advice & Support Service and the Day Care and Lunch Club . They ensure the Centre is at the heart of the community through the provision of a wide range of events and activities. They also encourage other groups and individuals to put on activities and events.
Their Hall and Lounge area are in big demand locally. The building is also the home to a number of other charities and association. They include Causeway Irish Housing Association, Kith and Kids, Haringey Shed and a Polish charity, Peec. They strive to ensure the Centre is a open, consistent and democratic organisation.
