Open Door

Description

April 2019 - Organisation no longer equire councillor representatives.

 

Provides a community based professionally staffed counselling and psychotherapy service.  The majority of the service users self refer 60% reside in Haringey. 

 

Their Objective/Aim is to: provide accessible, welcoming and supportive mental health service responsive to the needs of young people aged 12-24.  They offer consultation,  assessment and treatment and work to remedy and avoid discrimination. They aim to enhance the opportunities for vulnerable young people to become more secure individuals by maximising their potential for educational achievement and fulfilling employment. Open Door also aims to reduce the risk of suicide and deliberate self harm; and help young people manage the damaging effects of sexual abuse, and minimise the risk of repeating aspects of the abuse in relationships during their adult lives.

5 times per year

 

Meeting Time:

7:00pm

 

Note:

This body offers a counselling services for psychotherapy for the 12-24 year olds and their parents.

 

There is no payment for attendance.
