This report seeks approval to extend the contract for the provision of independent advocacy services delivered jointly by the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. These services help the Council meet its statutory responsibilities by providing eligible residents with independent support and representation in relation to: • Mental health advocacy. • Mental Capacity and Care Act advocacy, including support relating to deprivation of liberty and liberty protection arrangements where applicable. • Independent support for people making complaints about health services. The contract extension will ensure the continued provision of high-quality independent advocacy services, enabling eligible residents to access support, representation and assistance when required.
