The council continues to receive additional funding from Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to provide an enhanced smoking cessation service. This funding is very likely to continue through to 2028/29. Subject to approval the report will seek agreement to accept the grant funding, and to vary the contract for the Integrated Lifestyle Change Programme to continue to deliver an enhanced smoking cessation service for 2025/26 The report further seek to delegate authority to Director of Public Health to accept the funding for subsequent years and award the contracts relating to additional funding until 2028/29.
