This procurement is part of the wider Branch Library Enhancement programme which seeks to improve the look and feel of the libraries for the benefit of customers and staff. The aim is to improve layouts, and signage, improve accessibility through the provision of new lifts and access arrangements, and achieve aesthetic improvements by redecoration, new flooring and furniture. ICT upgrades will also be implemented. In addition condition and compliance works will be addressed at the same time to remedy existing building deficiencies, preventing further degradation of the fabric and to improve building energy efficiencies.
