The contract for emergency Covid-19 accommodation for vulnerable rough sleepers was awarded on 4th November 2020 to March 2021. An extension was agreed up to September 2021. The Cabinet Member is asked to approve that the Council uses it’s discretionary powers to continue with hotel accommodation during Winter 2021-22 at London Walthamstow Ltd, and that the continued use of emergency accommodation prioritises people who are rough sleeping with a connection to the borough in particular, and that the Council commits to the continued funding of 63 bedspaces at the IBIS (London Walthamstow Ltd) in Waltham Forest up until 31st March 2022, at a total cost of £573,627.60
