To agree to enter into contract with the Multi-Disciplinary Design Team for the design and refurbishment (and extension) of the Council owned, Grade II listed Civic Centre. This work is key to enabling new ways of working and deliver high quality services for our residents, as part of a Civic and community facility. The MDDT tendered for the feasibility and design work and were appointed for feasibility work in 2020. This work has now concluded and based upon the Cabinet decision in December 2020 (Option 3) the Council wishes to proceed with RIBA design stages 2 to 6. In addition delegated authority is sought to the Assistant Director of Property and Capital Works to submit Planning and Listed Building applications during the design process.
