In March 2020, the Government announced in the budget that it would provide local authorities with £500m of new grant funding to support economically vulnerable people and households in their local area. Haringey’s allocation was £3,663,000, with £1.66m remaining to be allocated. The Hardship Fund is available until 31 March 2021, and a decision is required in order to distribute funds to those in need before the fund ends.
