The PSPO approved last year expires on 31st July 2017. There was overwhelming support for the Order from the public. If the Order is not extended it will have to be discharged. In the absence of a PSPO it is likely that the activities prohibited by the PSPO will reoccur and increase to the detriment of local residents and businesses. In deciding whether or not to extend the duration of a PSPO the local authority, as required, carried out the 'necessary consultation’ as defined in s72(4) of the Anti-Social Behaviour, crime and Policing Act 2014. Although response rate was poor, the feedback again overwhelmingly supported the continuance of the PSPO without change, to July 2020
