The Equal Opportunities Policy renews our existing policy in light of the Equalities Act 2010 which created a single equality duty and legal framework. The policy is based on 9 protected characteristics and will underpin all other policies and strategies of the Council and will inform all activities in all functions of the Council. The policy will be delivered through a set of equality objectives.
