To update Cabinet on the progress and key activities that have taken place since the disturbances on August 6th to rebuild and regenerate Tottenham. It also updates Cabinet on the initial findings from the first stage of community and stakeholder engagement to shape Tottenham's future and the emerging shape of the draft Regeneration Strategy for Tottenham.

Consultation process
Public consultation on shaping Tottenham's future and understanding the local community's key priorities for improving and rebuilding Tottenham is taking place in November and December. This follows a period of community and stakeholder engagement (e.g. Community Panels, Ward Cllr walkabouts, meetings with the GLA etc) that has been used to shape the public consultation. The initial findings from the public consultation will be reported to Cabinet. We anticipate that a further public consultation exercise on a draft regeneration strategy for Tottenham will begin in February 2012.
DMT date and early discussion between AD and Cabinet Member: Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Social Inclusion and Planning with the Director of Place and Sustainability.
SLT date: All engagement and consultation activities will be as inclusive as possible. An Equalities Impact Assessment will be developed as part of the draft Regeneration Strategy.
