Core Strategy Adoption

The report presents the Inspector’s recommendations on the Core Strategy (following the Examination in Public) and asks that Cabinet recommend to Full Council that Haringey’s Core Strategy is adopted as the spatial planning policy document for the borough.

Consultation process

The Core Strategy has been subject to four rounds of statutory public consultation (in line with the Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and Updated Regulations 2008). The Core Strategy has been amended to reflect these consultations and was examined by an independent Planning Inspector from 28 June – 8 July 2011. This report presents the Inspector’s recommendations (which are binding of the Council) and asks that Cabinet recommend to Full Council that Haringey’s Core Strategy is adopted as the spatial planning policy document for the borough.

DMT date and early discussion between AD and Cabinet Member: Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Social Inclusion and Planning with the Director of Place and Sustainability.

SLT date: An Equalities Impact Assessment has been carried out in parallel with the preparation of the Core Strategy and has been subject to all four stages of public consultation.
