Stimulant treatment service contract

To extend the contract of the current provider of the stimulant service by one year in order to bring all of the substance misuse contracts in line for a re-tendering process commencing in 2012.

Consultation process

Consultation on specification with partners and service users commenced in May 2011. The report has also been for approval at the Joint Commissioning Group for substance misuse.

DMT date and early discussion between AD and Cabinet Member: Cabinet Member for Adult and Community Services with the Director of Public Health

SLT date: Stimulant services currently provides treatment for those misusing substances such as crack. 55% of 2010-11 clients were recorded as from BME groups.
