Consultation process
Consultation has been carried out with other local authorities, stakeholders and service users, which have all informed the findings. The process is being reported through the Supporting People Partnership Board.
DMT date and early discussion between AD and Cabinet Member: Cabinet Member for Adults and Community Services with the Director of Adult, Culture and Community Services.
SLT date: The existing service delivers support for up to 650 vulnerable families in their own homes at any one time. Stakeholders and clients overwhelmingly support the notion to maintain a single service. The current system is working well with around 80% clients self referring and the service is very highly regarded. Substantial savings are being negotiated and by re-negotiating a contract there would be no costly Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE) implications.
