Consultation process

Consultation and market research has already taken place to inform the re-tendering process. The pace of change in the market would make a re-tender of this contract obsolete in 12 months. Other local authorities, stakeholders and service users have informed the findings. The process is being reported through the Supporting People Partnership Board.

DMT date and early discussion between AD and Cabinet Member: Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Well-being with the Director of Adult, Culture and Community Services.

SLT date: The extended contract will allow a proper, careful and planned approach to be taken to what will be a wholly new way of contracting Supporting People services, to be able to deliver a more appropriate and far reaching support service to a greater number of vulnerable older people who are presently looking to maintain independent lifestyles.
