Consultation process

Consultation documents were distributed to all properties within a specified area requesting views on traffic calming measures as part of St James’s School Travel Plan implementation. Statutory consultation will take place after the Executive decision.

SLT date: Consultation leaflets offer translation into community languages and availability in large print, on disk, on audio tape or in Braille. Respondents are requested to provide details of gender, age, disability and ethnic origin in questionnaire replies. Traffic management schemes improve safety for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, older people, children and cyclists. Accident levels are higher in more deprived areas.
