Regeneration Strategy

The Regeneration Strategy will be a principal component in the delivery of the Community Strategy objective ‘economic vitality and prosperity shared by all’. The Strategy sets out the  priorities for the economic regeneration of the Borough under three themes - people, places and prosperity.  It will ensure maximum regeneration impact is realised from both mainstream services and bespoke projects

Consultation process

Consultation on the Strategy was be carried out a) internally through the Regeneration Stream Board and inter-departmental briefings and dicussion b) externally through meetings with key stakeholders and a stakeholder conference was held in October

DMT date and early discussion between AD and Cabinet Member: Cabinet Member for Enterprise and Regeneration with Director of Urban Environment

SLT date: The Strategy targets key disadvantaged groups in the community: NEET, lone parents, members of BME communities, disabled, low skilled and by addresssing issues faced by these groups, the strategy will make a positive contribution to equalities and diversity
