Since the new Bruce Grove CPZ was introduced the parking pressure on the adjacent roads has become intolerable. Birkbeck Road and Bruce Castle Road are narrow one way streets that serve as the main routes to and from Lancastrian School. They are regularly blocked by commercial vehicles being stored on the road leaving insufficient space for delivery vehicles and school buses to pass. This not only represents difficulties for local residents accessing their homes but also presents a safety risk due to the potential inability for large emergency service vehicles to access the surrounding areas. We believe the time has come to implement a CPZ on these roads.
