The Adults and Health Scrutiny
Panel sits under Haringey’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee
and is responsible for scrutiny of the following areas:
· Adult social care
· Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)
· Mental health and wellbeing
· Refugee and migrant wellbeing
· Public Health
· Safeguarding adults
· Transitions (Joint with Children & Young People’s
Scrutiny Panel)
· Planning, provision and operation of health services (including
the scrutiny of local relevant NHS bodies and health service
providers under powers defined by Section 10 of Scrutiny
Protocol)
· Integration of health, public health and adult social care,
including joint commissioning.
All scrutiny bodies will
perform similar scrutiny roles within their area of responsibility,
which include:

Holding the Cabinet and other local decision making
bodies to account (e.g. Cabinet Question and Answer
sessions);
·
Performance monitoring;
·
Assisting in the development or review of policies;
and
·
Budget scrutiny.
