35.	Minutes PDF 32 KB View the background to item 35. To agree the minutes of the meeting held on 23 April 2007. Minutes: ASC 25 It was noted that the first sentence should read “We were informed by Ms Chaplin that this unit was targeted at KS3 secondary pupils in years seven, eight and nine”. RESOLVED That the minutes of the Agreed Syllabus Conference held on 24 April 2007 were approved subject to the above amendment.
36.	Membership Update PDF 22 KB View the background to item 36. To receive a report on attendance for the municipal year 2006-07. Minutes: Members discussed the attendance report and agreed that there were members who had not attended for the whole of the municipal year 2006-07. Members requested that the totals column be updated and dates where members were not expected to have attended should be blocked out. RESOLVED That the above amendments be made to the attendance report.

PDF 576 KB Minutes: The Conference was asked to go through each of the units for the agreed syllabus Christianity KS2 units. On page 12 of the agenda Ms Chaplin informed the meeting that this part of the unit described in three columns and builds children’s knowledge of the concepts. The meeting agreed the Christianity KS2 Units 6-11. The Chair thanked Ms Chaplin for preparing the Christianity units. Ms Chaplin advised that at the next meeting of the Agreed Syllabus Conference they would be looking at Christianity and Hindu KS3. RESOLVED That the Christianity KS2 units 6-11 was agreed.
38.	Agreed Syllabus ~ Hinduism Part 2 PDF 36 KB View the background to item 38. Additional documents: Hinduism Unit 3 , item 38. PDF 224 KB Hinduism Unit 4 , item 38. PDF 315 KB Minutes: Members were requested to go through the agreed syllabus for Hinduism Part 2, and agree the contents. RESOLVED That the agreed syllabus for Hinduism Part 2 was agreed.
39.	Launch of the Agreed Syllabus View the background to item 39. Minutes: Ms Barbara Breed tabled the invitations for the launch of the Agreed Syllabus and enquired whether members had any comments. Ms Breed also requested members to put forward ideas and suggestions for an event, light or live entertainment for example; singing, dancing or music which could be used as part of the launch. Any suggestions should be forwarded to Ms Breed. The Conference was further reminded to nominate anyone who should also be invited from their group or church to the Launch and provide their contact details to Ms Breed. Ms Breed advised the Conference that the current invitees were: All SACRE members All Headteachers Senior Officers of the Council Every RE Coordinator Senior Priests RESOLVED That members should provide any comments, details of an event, and nominations for invitations to the launch to Ms Barbara Breed as soon as possible.

41.	Date of Next Meeting View the background to item 41. Monday 18 June 2007 at 6:30pm Minutes: The meeting was advised by Ms Chaplin that there were forth coming working groups on the following: Monday 4 June 2007 at 1:00pm there would be a meeting between Ms Sara Joy Leviten, Jewish representative and Ms Chaplin to edit the Judaism KS3 unit. Following this there would be a working group to consider the Christianity KS3 unit. Mr Bacrac was reminded to email Ms Chaplin the Humanist unit.
