FILMING AT MEETINGS

Proposal for a new Model of Carers' Support Services pdf icon PDF 292 KB

The report will seek Cabinet Member consideration of the options appraisal and preferred model for carers’ support services. Cabinet Member approval will also be sought for a 30 day consultation with stakeholders on the proposed new model of carers’ support services. The report will also seek Cabinet Member approval to delegate to the Director of Adult Services and the Assistant Director for Commissioning the authority to agree the final model for the new carers’ support service following the completion of the consultation process.

The Cabinet Member considered a report which sought approval for a 30 day consultation with stakeholders on the proposed new model of carers’ support services. The report also sought Cabinet Member approval to delegate to the Director of Adult Services and the Assistant Director for Commissioning the authority to agree the final model for the new carers’ support service, following due consideration of the feedback from the consultation.  

 

RESOLVED

 

  1. To consider the options appraisal and preferred model for carers’ support services to be delivered in the community;

 

  1. To approve Option 3 that provides for a holistic carers’ support services delivered by an external provider; 

 

  1. To approve for consultation with stakeholders for a period of 30 days the proposed new model of carers’ support service and as set out in paragraph 1.5 in the Appendix 2 of the report. 

 

  1. To delegate to the Director of Adult Services and the Assistant Director for Commissioning the authority to agree the final model for the new carers’ support service, following due consideration of the feedback from the consultation.
