Minutes:

The Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration considered a report, previously circulated, which sought approval of statutory Consultation Arrangements, as set out in Appendix A of the report. It was noted that under Section 105 of the Housing Act 1985 Local Authorities were required to have formal consultation arrangements in place to consult with tenants on changes to management arrangements.

RESOLVED:

That the statutory Consultation Arrangements, as set out in Appendix A of the report, be approved for implementation and publication.

Alternative options considered

The Council could prepare and publish separate consultation arrangements each time it wishes to consult, however, this would prove time consuming and costly.

Reasons for decision

To comply with the provisions of Section 105 of the Housing Act 1985.
