Consultation on the Draft Finsbury Park Town Centre Supplementary Planning Document New I(Report of the Director of Place and Sustainability). The report seeks approval of the draft Finsbury Park Town Centre Supplementary Planning Document for consultation. Additional documents: Minutes: The Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Social Inclusion considered a report, previously circulated, which sought approval to go out to consultation on the draft Finsbury Park Town Centre Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
It was noted that this would form a joint SPD document with the London Boroughs of Hackney and Islington and that the intention of the SPD was to establish a clear framework within which future development of the Finsbury Park Town Centre could come forward.
RESOLVED:
That the draft Finsbury Park Town Centre Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) be noted and approved for consultation.
Alternative Options Considered It is a statutory requirement to consult on the draft SDP, in line with Regulation 13 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, and the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement and therefore not alternative options have been considered.
Reasons for Decision In line with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, the duty to cooperate, as set out in the National Planning Policy Framework and the Council’s Statement of Community Involvement, the Council is required to carry out this consultation as part of the preparation for the SPD. |
