To agree the minutes of the Committee meeting held on 17 April as an accurate record. Minutes: RESOLVED
· That the minutes of the meeting held on 17 April 2012 be agreed as an accurate record.
The Committee received an update on a number of issues raised at the last meeting including the allocation of the £450 underspend to the Making the Difference Fund for the area. Two projects had been proposed at the last meeting: Parkside Malvern Resident’s Association and refurbishment of Dolly Pope’s bench plaque. An update would be provided at the next meeting once the exact monies had been determined for each project, although it was anticipated that the majority would be allocated to Parkside Malvern.
The Chair also gave an update following a number of queries raised during the last Forum meeting in relation to the Olympics including the potential for large screens to be erected in public spaces in the borough to show the Games. Officers had explored the potential hire cost for such an outdoor screen and had established this would be in the region of £10,000. The screenings would also incur additional expense related to crowd management and public safety arrangements and compliance with requirements set out by LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games). Therefore, in light of the current financial climate, the proposal would not be taken forward.
Clarification had also been sought on the allocation of tickets via Ticketmaster for the Olympic Torch event at Alexandra Palace following concerns expressed at the last Forum that the tickets had not been ringfenced for borough residents. It was confirmed that the tickets had been sold in accordance with LOCOG ticketing guidance, with approximately 25% of tickets released at Tottenham Green Leisure Centre. An analysis undertaken by Ticketmaster had shown that 83% of ticket purchases made through them were from within Haringey, Enfield or Barnet.

Area Plan To agree the final Area Plan document. Minutes: The Committee considered the final draft of the Area Plan for Wood Green, Noel Park and Bounds Green wards identifying priorities for the year 2012/13 onwards.
The Committee queried one of the entries under the community safety priority in relation to street drinking in Tintern, Granville, Grainger, Cline Rd and Hillside Gardens as Councillors were not aware that these were particular problem areas. It was agreed that the narrative for this item needed to be made clearer and that ward Councillors should discuss this issue with their Safer Neighbourhood teams.
It was commented that the Plan would need to be updated and strengthened to reflect the new plans being developed for youth services and any additional resources available.
RESOLVED
· That the final version of the Area Plan be approved subject to the revisions requested above and in acknowledgement that the Plan remained a ‘live’ document subject to ongoing review and update following each quarterly Area Forum and Committee meeting.
