Brief Introduction by the Chair
1b) Broadwater Farm Debate: ideas for developing an urban village centre [6.50pm]
Local residents are invited to come and share ideas in the form of a debate; this will be facilitated by representatives from the Place and Sustainability directorate.
1c) Update on the ward councillor walk about on Philip Lane [7.30pm]
A few months ago, West Green and Bruce Grove ward councillors went on a walkabout on Philip Lane with Frontline services and this is a report back on how the identified actions have been taken forward.
1d) Alcohol strategy [7.50pm]
The annual public health report is an independent report by the Director of Public Health which outlines the key health concerns the borough is facing. Last year the report focused on childhood obesity, this year the report is focused on alcohol. A member of the Public Health team will present this strategy and invite questions and comments from residents and community groups.
1e) Dog Control Orders [8.05pm]
The Responsible Dog Ownership Coordinator will provide information about the implementation of dog control orders.

To consider an update on the actions in the Area Plan. To follow Minutes: As part of the priority 1, Active Community Life, there was an action to explore ways of making Goan Community Centre sustainable in order to establish a local community Hub. The committee asked for an update on this action for the next meeting in June along with an update on the review of community buildings.
It was reported that the training for local community groups on Planning and Licensing training, held on the 11th April, had gone well with around 20 attendees The Chair asked for a written feedback on this event for the next meeting in June.
The Chair asked that the Safer Neighbourhoods Team be invited to the next meeting to talk further about their work and the recent re-organisation.
Priority 5, Early Intervention - There was an action to provide crèche facilities at 639 High road. The chair recalled being informed at an earlier agenda planning meeting that following a feasibility study of the building it would not be possible to provide a Crèche. It was agreed that clarification is sought by Frontline Services on this action and it should be removed from the plan if it is not possible.
Item 7 – Housing - Improved lighting for Reynard son Court and Parkview Road was due to be completed by the 31.03.2013 .The committee agreed that Frontline services check this action has been completed and add an update to the Area Plan.
