To confirm and sign the minutes of the meeting of the Procurement Committee held on 29 January 2008.

(Report of the Director of Adult Culture and Community Services): To seek approval for a framework agreement for the provision of Sports Coaching and Tuition to be formalised and implemented across the Council; and to seek agreement for those providers that comply within the Council’s criteria to be awarded a place on the framework.

(Report of the Director of the Children and Young People’s Service):To seek approval for the award of the construction contract for the addition to and the remodelling and refurbishment of the existing Gladesmore Community School’s sports hall; and to seek approval to underwriting funding of this Sports Hall project to a maximum of £1.2 million in the event that the main Gladesmore BSF project is not approved from the Children & Young People's Service 2009/10 capital contingency. (Report of the Director of the Children and Young People’s Service): To provide information on the finalisation of contract price and variation of Phase 2 of the Coleridge Primary School Expansion.

(Report of the Director of Corporate Resources): To seek an extension to the existing Network, Security and Datacentre Services contract with Logicalis for a further 3 years.

(Report of the Chief Financial Officer): To inform Members of the procurement process undertaken to appoint providers for the Council’s external insurance policies and claims handling services from 1 April 2008 and to obtain approval to award the contracts to the selected providers.
