Urgent Business

Note: It being a special meeting of the sub-committee, under Part Four, Section B, paragraph 17 of the Council’s Constitution, no other business shall be considered at the meeting.

Declaration of Interest

A member with a personal interest in a matter who attends a meeting of the Authority at which the matter is considered must disclose to that meeting the existence and nature of that interest at the commencement of that consideration, or when the interest becomes apparent.

 

A member with a prejudicial interest in a matter also has a prejudicial interest in that matter if the interest is one which a member of the public with knowledge of the relevant facts would reasonably regard as so significant that it is likely to prejudice the member’s judgement of the public interest.

Summary of Procedure

The Chair will explain the procedure that the Committee will follow for each of the hearings considered under the Licensing Act 2003.  A copy of the procedure is attached.

5.

Section 34 Gaming Permit, Rowans, 10 Stroud Green Road N4 2DF

To consider an application to grant a Section 34 permit to allow 29 machines on the premises.

Minutes:

There being no attendance from the applicants themselves, Items 6 and 7 moved up the agenda and were taken as one item.

 

RESOLVED

 

(i)                 That the committee grant the application as asked for 29 gambing machines.

(ii)               That the committee defer its decision for the application for a further 11 gaming machines until such time that the applicants could be present before the committee to answer a numebr of questions about their application for a further 11 gaming machines on the premises.

Section 34 Gaming Permit, Rowans, 10 Stroud Green Road N4 2DF

To consider an application to grant a Section 34 permit to increase the number of machines on the premises from 29 to 40.

7.

Too Sweet, 110 High Road London N15 (Seven Sisters Ward)

To consider an application to provide a licensable activity in the form of sale of alcohol, late night refreshment and regulated entertainment.

RESOLVED

 

That the Committee grant the application as applied for but subject to following conditions:

 

(i)                 Conditions to enforce the provisions of the operating schedule

(ii)               To prominently display notices within the premises requesting customers to leave the premises quietly and respect the peace of local residents.

(iii)             To prominently display notices within the yard and outside areas of the premises requesting customer to be quiet whilst smoking.

(iv)              To prominently display notices within the premises recommending that customers should not double park their vehicles outside the premises.
