APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Minutes:

Apologies were received from Councillor Patel who was substituted, in accordance with standing orders, by Councillor Peacock as Chair of the sub-committee.

URGENT BUSINESS:

The Chair will consider the admission of any late items of urgent business.  (Late items will be considered under the agenda item where they appear. New items will be dealt with at item 7 below).

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

A member with a personal interest in a matter who attends a meeting of the Authority at which the matter is considered must disclose to that meeting the existence and nature of that interest at the commencement of that consideration, or when the interest becomes apparent.

 

A member with a personal interest in a matter also has a prejudicial interest in that matter if the interest is one which a member of the public with knowledge of the relevant facts would reasonably regard as so significant that it is likely to prejudice the member’s judgement of the public interest.

As the full version of the minutes were not available to the sub-committee, the approval was postponed.

To consider an application to provide a licensable activity in the form of the sale of alcohol, and regulated entertainment.

RESOLVED

 

The Committee decided to grant the application but subject to the following conditions:

 

(i)                 Statutory mandatory conditions in schedule 19 of the Licensing Act 2003.

(ii)               The conditions to enforce the provisions of the operating schedule.

(iii)             Alcohol shall only be sold to persons able to produce valid proof of age, if this is in doubt, by means of photographic identification.

(iv)              That noise does not emanate from the premises so as to cause a nuisance to nearby residential properties.

 

INFORMATIVE

 

The Committee took into account the representation from local residents and informed them of their statutory right of review of the original license. Full advice could be obtained from the Licensing Service about how to do this.
