                RESOLVED

The Committee agreed to grant the application in part and subject to the following conditions:

(i)                 Provisions to enforce the standard mandatory conditions

(ii)               Conditions to enforce that alcohol may only be sold to individuals over the age of 18 with valid proof of identification with one of the following:

·           A valid passport

·           A photo driving license issued in a European Union country

·           A proof of age standard card system

·           A citizen card, supported by the Home Office

(iii)             Conditions to enforce the provisions of the operating schedule

(iv)              That the hours of opening to the public be 10:00 to 02:00 daily

(v)                That the hours for the provision of late night refreshments be 23:00 to 01:30 daily

(vi)              That the hours for the sale of alcohol be 12noon to 23:00 daily

(vii)            That the hours for the provision of recorded music be 12noon to 23:00 daily

The reason for amending the hours for the provision of late night refreshments was that the applicant admitted that there had been breaches of previous closing hours because refreshments were being served up until the times authorised for opening. This decision would uphold the licensing objective in relation to the prevention of public nuisance.

The reason for amending hours for the provision of recorded music was to ensure the prevention of noise nuisance to neighbouring residents.
