(Report of the Director of Children’s Services to be introduced by the Cabinet Member for Children) To approve the proposed response to the Overview and Scrutiny Review of Children Missing from Care and from Home.

Cabinet considered a report that set out the proposed response to the Scrutiny Review of Children Missing from Care and from Home that was received by Cabinet on 12 June 2012.

 The Cabinet Member for Children welcomed this report which set out how the recommendations from the scrutiny review would be put into place.  The only modification was in relation to the arrangements for the independent return home interviews for young people.  There would be further discussion with partners about who could most appropriately take these meetings forward with a child/young person.

RESOLVED:

That service response to the Scrutiny Review of Children Missing from Care and from Home, as detailed in the report, be approved.
