(Report of the Director of Corporate Resources) : To recommend increases to the Council’s licensing fees and charges, as per the attached appendices, with effect from the 4^th January 2011.

The Committee considered a report that recommended increases to the fees and charges made by the Council for a number of services it provided.

In response to a query it was clarified that there would be an element of officer discretion attached to the charges made for Special Events Licences and it was not intended that small events such as street parties would be charged the maximum fee.

It was noted that after consultation with officers an increase of 5% had been considered appropriate in many areas.

RESOLVED:

That the Council’s fees and charges should be increased, as set out within appendices attached to the report, with effect from 4 January 2011.
