To agree conclusions and recommendations for the review.  A paper summarising the main evidence received and highlighting suggested issues for discussion is attached.

To receive evidence from local interest groups and resident organisations on the 20 mph speed limit.

To receive evidence from the London Assembly on the conclusions and recommendation of their recent report entitled “Braking Point”, which addressed the issue of 20 mph speed limits on a London wide basis.

1.      To receive evidence from the following:

• The Police Service on their view of the feasibility of a borough default 20 mph speed limit on residential roads;

• The Urban Environment directorate on current Council policy in relation to 20 mph speed limits,

2.      To report on progress with the review.
