The Joint Head of Housing Development is
recommended to approve the award of a contract to Hunters and
Partners Ltd, in accordance with Contract Standing Orders (CSO)
2.05.1(n) and 11.01, 12.02, to the delivery of the CDM Advisory
Services ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and
Management) Regulations 2015, in the sum of £10,680.00
excluding VAT
CDM Advisory Services
The appointment of a CDM Advisory Service is required undertake the
Council’s legal duties in accordance with the Construction
(Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), which place a
statutory duty on the client to appoint a suitably competent
organisation to plan, manage and coordinate health and safety
during the pre-construction and construction phases of the
works.
The Council could decide not to award this
contract. This option is not recommended because as the Council
requires professional technical support to ensure specification and
quality standards will be achieved by the Developer and interim
payments are accurate and reasonable.
