To approve recommendations as set out in
Section 3 of this report.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council is required to consider the
feedback received during the statutory consultation period,
particularly any objections to the proposals, prior to its
implementation. The proposal consulted upon is aimed at improving
parking opportunities for residents on Hawthorn Road, North View
Road and South View Road by extending the Hornsey North East CPZ
with management of kerb side space ensuring safety and
accessibility.
Alternative options considered:
An alternative is to not to extend the Hornsey
North East CPZ. This is not recommended as there is a clear need
for parking controls, and this is supported by a majority of
residents who responded to the public engagement undertaken in
May/June 2025. This decision aligns with Haringey’s CPZ
policy.
