For the Head of Programme Management –
Regeneration and Economic Development to award a contract to
Calisseum Ltd for the delivery of Positive Activity for Young
People, as part of the ERF Socio Economic Programme at a total cost
of £20,000. This is in accordance with Contract Standing
Order (CSO) 8.03.
Reasons for the decision:
The programme is integral to the physical and
social development of Northumberland Park as Calisseum Ltd will
engage with communities and other local partners to deliver a range
of activities for young people including an outdoor portable
calisthenics’ gym, community gym sessions, employment and
skills sessions and after school sessions.
Alternative options considered:
Do nothing - If the council were to adopt a do
nothing approach it would have a detrimental impact on the ERF
(this fund is time limited) and the council’s ability to
deliver youth focused socio-economic outputs through the ERF in
Northumberland Park.
