For the Head of Programme Management – Regeneration and Economic Development to award a contract to Haringey Play Association for the Delivery of Northumberland Park Forest Schools part of the ERF Socio Economic Programme at a total cost of £15,000. This is in accordance with Contract Standing Order (CSO) 8.03.

Reasons for the decision:

The Programme is integral to the physical and social development of Northumberland Park as Haringey Play Association will engage with communities and other local partners to deliver a range of forest activities for young people outside school times and trips to the Forests in Cheshunt and Lee Valley in the school holidays.

Alternative options considered:

Do nothing - If the council were to adopt a do nothing approach it would have a detrimental impact on the ERF (this fund is time limited) and the council’s ability to deliver activities for young people a key component of the ERF socio-economic outputs in Northumberland Park.
