For the Director of Culture, Strategy and Engagement to approve a
variation to the agreement with Fulker Bailey Russell by the sum of
£58,336.62 increasing the current value from
£156,989.00 to £215,325.62 as allowed under Haringey's
Contract Standing Orders 10.02.1a. This includes a contingency of
£2,500 that will be strictly managed under change control
process
The scope of the project for Fulker Bailey Russell increased to
include the re-procurement of the package of works after the
insolvency of Diamond Build Plc. The fee included the works to
conclude the contract in relation to the termination of Diamond
Build Plc contract and delivery the newly awarded contract.
These additional costs have already been approved and allocated to
the Muswell Hill Library Refurbishment Budget via Cabinet Approval
in May 2024
Seeking alternative resources during the construction phase of the
project would not benefit the Council in terms of time and cost
impact therefore discounted on the basis it would not provide value
for money
