The Head of Housing Development is recommended
to approve the acceptance of UKPN quote for diversion of HV, LV and
pilot cables for Selby Urban Village Phase 2 at The Selby Centre
under Contract Standing Orders (CSO) 8.08 and 9.07.1C and Public
Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015)
The Council requires diversions works for the
Selby Urban Village project to be developed.
UKPN have advised that the removal of their planning objection is
contingent on the quote being accepted and the Council requires
planning consent to progress with the development of the Selby
Urban Village.
It is therefore recommended that the Head of Housing Development
approves this request for diversion works by UKPN for
£64,816.06.
The council could defer the procurement of the
diversion works required for Phase 2 of the Selby Urban Village
project until the contract for the main construction works is let
in 2025 and have this element included with the contractor’s
services procurement. However, this could result in higher costs to
the Council and could cause a delay in the planning
process.
