Approval for a contract variation for additional Party Wall matters to the value of £19,500 to a total of £29,500 as supplied by Everest Surveying Ltd to complete the development in connection with 100 Woodside Avenue

Reasons for the decision:

Fees against re-issuing awards to adjoining interests due to delays caused by remediation works required for Thames Water underground assets, as well as additional fees against surveyors representing third parties, have resulted in an overall cost increase.

Alternative options considered:

The Council could retender, but this would cause the council to lose substantial knowledge Everest Surveying have relating to party wall matters. Furthermore, the existing surveyor has issued standing and expired notices and any delays in re-tendering could cause further delays to an already significantly delayed programme resulting in a loss and expenses claim to the council.
