For the Assistant Director of Capital Projects and Property to
approve a variation of contract to DK-CM by £22,000.00
varying the approved contract sum from £248,327.75 to
£270,327.75 as allowed under Haringey’s Contract

DK-CM’s commission is based on agreed lump sum fees for RIBA
stages 1-4, and a 12 month construction period for RIBA stage 5-6.
Due to unforeseen delays the construction period has been extended
and a fee adjustment for RIBA Stages 5-6 is required due to:
As practical completion has been achieved and in RIBA stage 6
defects, changing consultancy resources at this late stage would be
detrimental to the council in terms of time and cost. There are no
available resources within the Council that have the capacity or
expertise to deliver this cost consultancy resource in
house.
