and to amend/remove parking or parking restrictions where the introduction of new disabled bays is approved.

Reasons for the decision:

To prioritise parking and safety of disabled residents who visit doctors’ surgeries across the borough

Alternative options considered:

A “Do Nothing” approach was considered but not recommended as it would be against the Councils current dedicated disabled person parking policy and legal requirements set by Department for Transport (DfT).
