In accordance with Contract Standing Orders
8.01 and 8.02, the Head of Programme Management, Regeneration and
Economic Development, is requested to approve under their delegated
authority, the direct award of the contract for a parking survey to
Velocity Transport Planning the value of £7,590.00.
Reasons for the decision:
A specialist planning consultant is required
to undertake a parking survey at SUV to feed into the planning
submission and design work.
Velocity Transport Planning is a specialist Transport Planning
consultancy serving both public and private sector property
development clients. They have been briefed and have shown a fully
understanding of the brief.
Alternative options considered:
An alternative option would be to not proceed
with the commission, but this is not recommended as this will not
enable the Council and its partners to gather the necessary spatial
and travel information relating to the site.
