For the Joint Head of Housing Development to approve the implementation of Contract Standing Order [CSO) 10.02] and award a variation to contract for Paul Mew Associates, for provision of Transport Consultancy Services] for a period of [12 months] from [20th April 2026] at a cost of £3,000

The total cost over the life the contract (including extensions) is £12,750

Reasons for the decision:

To progress the scheme by varying the appointment of Paul Mew Associates for services on the Tiverton Estate housing delivery project.

Alternative options considered:

The Council could have procured these services from another Transport Consultant, but this would have delayed planning submission and overall delivery programme, as well as creating other issues e. g. lack of continuity within the consultant team.
