For the Delivery Director, Director of Capital Projects and Property to approve the implementation of Contract Standing Order CSO 18.03.3, 18.02.03 and 2.05 and vary a contract to EAS Transport for s278 consultation for Arundel Court, Lansdowne Road for a period of 23.4 months from 19/8/2025 to 1/8/2027, at a cost of £18,000

The total cost over the life the contract (including any extensions) is £18,000.

EAS already have a PO raised to them for £9000. They had originally provided a quote for £18,000. I was originally going to split the total cost of these works between Arundel Court and Baldewyne Court. I wanted to raise a PO of £9000 for Arundel and £9000 for Baldewyne. EAS only uploaded a quote under Arundel RFQ and I raised a PO for this. I enquired as to why they did not upload anything for Baldewyne and they advised that the works are only really relevant to Arundel Court. If I had known this, I would have just raised the total amount under Arundel. Because the PO was already approved, I was not able to amend the PO.

I now need to vary the Arundel PO for the remaining £9000 fee that was part of the original quote.

This is for a capital project which already has budget approval.

The only other option is not to carryout this work. This will mean that we would have approved some of the work, but we would potentially not be able to conclude the s278 works which would mean we do not meet the planning conditions set out for this project.
