Decision details

For the Assistant Director of Regeneration and Economic Development to approve the payment of the annual corporate subscription to the ATCM – the national body for Town Centre Management. Total cost is £1035 +VAT. This is in line with Contract Standing Order 8.02 and from the Inclusive Economy core budget.

Membership of the ATCM allows the Council to access a wealth information, networking opportunities and contribute to lobbying for the industry on behalf of Haringey Council and the town centres within the borough. Seminars and events are also available for free or a discounted rate for members.

The ATCM remains the leading organisation for the UK’s TCM professionals and enables Haringey’s achievements to be promoted throughout the network and ensure best practise is shared between members and the organisation itself.

1) Do Nothing – Haringey would not be able to benefit from information sent out by ATCM to its members (including latest government guidance and analysis of its impact on lockdowns and tiers as one example).

2) Seek alternative membership – although there are some organisations that represent Business Improvement Districts, ATCM remains the largest, primary membership body for TCM professionals.
