For the Assistant Director Schools and Learning to approve a variation of contract to John Rowan & Partners Limited by £27,900.00 varying the contract sum from £73,030.00 to £100,930.00 as allowed under Haringey’s Contract Standing Orders 10.02.1a

The scope of the project has changed from that originally tendered by the supplier. These changes have been approved under strict change control procedures. As John Rowan & Partners commission is based on a percentage of construction works and the construction costs have increased, they have a contractual entitlement to adjust their fee in line with the projected construction value. This adjustment has been undertaken in line with their agreed fee percentage submitted at tender.

With the project at construction stage, re-tendering consultancy resources at this late stage would be detrimental to the council in terms of time and cost.
There are no available resources within the Council that have the capacity or expertise to deliver this cost consultancy resource in house.
